The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and managing our hardware and networks. Your goal will be to ensure that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently, supporting our business operations and providing a secure and effective environment for our employees.Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and Maintain Data Center & Branch Infrastructure:
- Develop and execute network strategies for Data Centers and branch locations to ensure high availability, scalability, and optimal performance.
- Configure and manage Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco switches, implementing network segmentation, VLANs, and advanced routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP).
- Oversee Dedicated Internet Access (DIA) and MPLS circuits, ensuring optimal connectivity and reliability by coordinating with service providers and monitoring performance.
- Manage network infrastructure within Data Centers, ensuring redundancy and disaster recovery solutions for uninterrupted operations.
- Maintain and Optimize Storage and Backup Infrastructure:
- Oversee all storage systems, including NetApp and Tintri, ensuring high availability, scalability, and optimal performance across the organization.
- Monitor storage performance and capacity, planning for future expansion and optimizing configurations for efficiency.
- Manage backup solutions using Veeam, ExaGrid, and Wasabi to ensure data integrity and rapid availability.
- Develop, implement, and regularly test disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime and prevent data loss.
- Ensure all storage and backup processes comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Network Monitoring and Performance:
- Manage all network monitoring activities using tools like Site24x7, SolarWinds, and Auvik for real-time visibility and troubleshooting.
- Analyze network performance metrics to proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks, ensuring optimal efficiency and reliability.
- Implement capacity planning and traffic management strategies to enhance network performance.
- Security and Compliance:
- Implement and maintain advanced network security measures to protect against unauthorized access, vulnerabilities, and threats.
- Manage security solutions including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPN configurations.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify and mitigate risks.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Prepare reports on network status, performance, and project progress for management review.
- Leadership and Project Management:
- Lead network projects and initiatives, coordinating with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
- Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance to enhance team capabilities.
QualificationsQualifications:
- 8-10 years of network administration experience.
- 1-2 years of experience leading a team.
- Bachelor's degree or Professional certifications.
- Solid understanding of network infrastructure (LAN, WAN) and security, including intrusion detection systems and data backup/recovery strategies.
- Knowledge of Windows OS, Linux OS, networking software, hardware, and networking protocols.
- Familiarity with various operating systems, database management, and the ability to script in PowerShell.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills and the capacity to work well within a team.
