Overview:
The Midstream OT Network Engineer will design, develop, and package network solutions that can be easily deployed and consumed by our Product Line teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in traditional network engineering, coupled with the ability to package these solutions into products that other teams can manage and deploy autonomously (Network Development).
As a key contributor, the Network Engineer will develop complete, scalable networking products, ensuring they are optimized for consumption by cross-functional teams in a Scaled Agile (SAFe) environment. Experience with modern technologies like Network as Code and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) is essential to support efficient, automated deployments.
Knowledge of critical infrastructure and Operational Technology (OT) in industrial environments is preferred.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years in network engineering roles, with a proven track record in designing and maintaining enterprise-grade networks. Experience with Network as Code tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform). Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation practices. Strong understanding of routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP Experience configuring, and troubleshooting security / WAN protocols: IPSec, DMVPN preferred. Good knowledge of SDWAN and associated technologies. Experience supporting wireless technologies, including cellular, satellite, point-to-point and point-to-multipoint broadband and narrowband radios, and microwave communication equipment. Advanced understanding of network monitoring and analysis tools: Solarwinds, CA Spectrum, wireshark. Experience with Cisco ISE or related AAA servers Previous experience working in an Operational Technology environment, including SCADA and industrial control systems preferred. Cisco CCNA or CCNP preferred. Experience with Agile / Scrum methodologies preferred.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Product Line teams to ensure network platform infrastructure aligns with product goals and timelines. Design, implement, and maintain robust network solutions to support product teams in a Scaled Agile (SAFe) environment. Support the transition to CI/CD practices, enabling faster, more efficient deployments while maintaining network stability and security. Once built, work with cross-functional teams to integrate network solutions with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Drive automation initiatives, leveraging Network as Code practices to streamline deployments and improve network reliability. Contribute to planning and implementing new technologies such as SD-WAN and other networking solutions. Manage network operations including configuring routers, switches, and other infrastructure equipment in a mission-critical OT environment. Troubleshoot complex network issues, ensuring high availability and performance. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and security best practices. Participation in after hours on call rotation is required. Provide updates daily, weekly, monthly, or as requested. Supports the corporate culture by personal involvement in activities to enhance performance in Health, Environment, Safety & Corporate Social Responsibility.
