Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Network Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure. Your expertise will ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our customers network infrastructure communication systems.
- Analyze system requirements and leads design, development and implementation activities.
- Guides users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies.
- Incorporate new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation.
- Guide system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans, system integration and test plans.
- The lead must be an effective communicator interacting with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts. Will ultimately be responsible for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility.
- Individual will be required to install, configure, test and maintain an IT Infrastructure for various disparate classification domains. These infrastructures include legacy and next generation configurations.
- Understanding of networking protocols, setup and troubleshooting to include Cisco routing and switching devices, Cisco Firewalls, and switching technology
- Designing and implementing network solutions based on business requirements and industry best practices.
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining network hardware and software components, including routers, and switches.
- Monitoring network performance and proactively identifying and resolving network issues and vulnerabilities.
- Conducting regular network assessments and audits to ensure security, availability, and scalability.
- Ability to troubleshooting network outages, and provide timely resolution.
- Managing network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
- Providing technical support and guidance to customer, assisting with network-related issues and inquiries.
- Keeping up to date on emerging network technologies and industry trends, and implementing STE/STN requirements to enhance network performance and security.
Qualifications:

- Candidate must haveIAT Level 3 (CCNP Security)
- A Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security Systems Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university and ten (10) years of relevant professional experience providing Network Engineering support and training commensurate with network engineering curriculums or a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline and Twelve (12) years of relevant professional experience providing Network Engineering support. Fifteen (15) years of relevant experience providing Network Engineering support may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree or Twenty (20) years for a Master's degree.
- Eight (8) yearsof experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. Only one (1) year of total experience is required in the Federal Government.
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, and security principles.
- Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting network devices and technologies (Cisco, Arrcus, Juniper, etc.).
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools and methodologies (such as WUG).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
