Maintain stable operations of company network environment and provide optimal network performance across all Compass Health locations. This includes research, planning, developing, and configuration of new and existing projects/technologies to introduce into company network infrastructure. Provide continual maintenance of new and existing network hardware/software. Follow best practices methods for configuration and security of network hardware/software. Communicate to Senior Network Engineer of any issues that may arise as well as any projects requiring network downtime. Provide monitoring and reporting for all aspect of company network infrastructure and performance. Provide network support to all locations throughout the Compass Health network.
This is a Full-time, benefit eligible position. While this position will have the flexibility to work from home, the employee must reside in Missouri, near Jefferson City or Columbia.
Responsibilities Include:
Manage Compass Health network infrastructure, including managed services routers, switches, firewalls, security appliances, and wireless hardware/software Perform network design and capacity planning Conduct research on network products, services, protocols and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers and contractors to secure network products and services Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures and associated training plans for network resource administration, appropriate use, and disaster recovery Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports Recommend, schedule and perform network improvements, upgrades and repairs Manage and/or provide guidance to junior members of the team Other duties as assigned
