Network Engineer II Primary Location: Chicago, Illinois V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Network Engineer II for our premier client in Chicago, Illinois. WHAT YOU'LL NEED: Technical Requirements and Certifications
- CCNP or equivalent experience
Education and Experience
- Minimum of five (5) years continual computer networking experience.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field is preferred.
- Experience with Cisco Nexus platform 5k, 7k.
- Experience working on Cisco Catalyst 6500 series switches.
- Experience working with enterprise or carrier class Cisco routers.
- Experience with Network Monitoring tools.
- Cisco firewall software configuration and management experience.
- DNS/DHCP knowledge and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Remote Access implementation using VPN and Dial-Up.
- Wireless Networking.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP.
- Must be able to maintain the network management platforms, firewall security, RAS system, and others as required.
- Network monitoring and security knowledge.
