Job Description:

Annapolis Micro Systems is seeking an experienced Network Engineer that is passionate about supporting critical components of our IT environment. The Network Engineer will provide day-to-day technical support for network infrastructure, desktop systems, server installations, and more. They will also interact with multiple business, engineering, and manufacturing groups daily, and be an integral part of Annapolis Micro Systems' success. Responsibilities

  • Network design and troubleshooting
  • Switch, router, and firewall setup and configuration
  • Managing and monitoring network availability and performance including fault tolerance
  • CMMC/NIST 800-171 security standards and compliance
  • Server (Windows & Linux) setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Hardware/software/security updates/upgrades to ensure compliance requirements are met
  • Provide timely user support
  • Documentation of network procedures, equipment, layout, and change management
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Information Systems, or IT-related degree
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts and standards (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN)
  • Proficiency in routers, managed switches, firewalls, remote access, and VPNs
  • Experience with specialized test equipment and network analysis tools
  • Hardware/software/firmware installation and maintenance experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • U.S. Citizenship
