Job Description:

Network Lab Support/Engineer Must Have: •Excellent knowledge of network protocols, eg BGP, OSPF, Spanning-tree protocol, Multicast (!) •Understanding of network protocols, network platforms such as Cisco/Arista to design and troubleshoot new implementation. •Multicast: IGMPv2/3, PIM, Static RP, RP-Anycast •IP Routing Platforms ISR, ASR1K, Catalyst, Arista •Working knowledge on L2 and L3 QoS •IPSec, MACsec •Cisco Switching Catalyst Platform family •Working knowledge of Switching and Switching mechanisms like CEF, TCAM •Cabling and optics 10/ 25G/ 40G/ 50G/ 100G •Cloud networking a big plus •Possess ability to quickly and effectively interpret data. •Possess ability to perform very complex implementations with little or no guidance and/or oversight from manager. •Excellent written and verbal communication skills A HUGE MUST •Must work well in team environment. Experience Required: - Experience with testing design and certification of products in LAB environments - CCNP/ CCIE-level experience. - Strong Knowledge of working with protocols such as OSPF, BGP, QoS, IPSec, PIM - Experience with Cisco Platforms such as Catalyst, Nexus, ISR/ ASR - Knowledge of Certification of new code, and bug Scrubs on IOS/ XE/ NXOS/ and limited XR - Experience with Arista Platforms such as 7280, 7504, 7260, 7150, 7800, et al. - Experience developing strategies with multiple vendors - Experienced with creating design documents for each certification which includes engineering guidelines. - Experience with Tools such as IXIA to test and certify various designs, and troubleshoot networks issues Roles & Responsibilities: 1. The documentation of thelab testbeds and its upkeep 2. Lab / lab gear usage scheduling 3. Manage currentand new processes for hardware and optics allocation and inventory 4. Complete Lab asset (and modules e.g., line cards)inventory mgt , registration to ReadyWorks, NMDB and any future mgt platform identified 5. Lifecycle mgt oflab test gear (EoL/EoS/ EoVSS/ LDoS)including ensuring they run the latest certified code and/ or code under cert as needed 6. Suggest and manage continuous improvement to existing allocation and EoL/EoS tracking process. Automate wherever possible to increase process efficiency. 7. Manage lab capacity, removal of no longer devices to free up rack space, track inbound to the lab devices, manage their physical installation, theDNS registration, out of band access, cable mgt &cleanup, produce monthly lab capacity and usage report 8. IPAM lab mgt, IPAM continuous design review 9. Manage the interoperability testbeds, drive their testingautomations and increased efficiencies. 10. cfg backups, preparations for power down/ power up 11.>Automated inventory mgt for lab related needs (cables, optics, wraps, bins, terminal servers, jump hosts ) reporting and proactive inventory replenishment 12. Design, present and implement new lab processes and procedures. 13. Lifecycle mgt of lab test gear (e.g., Ixia) , ixia/ test gear code upkeep, scheduling, virtual routers (Arista Cloud Vision CVP = used for bug mgt), simulated testbeds (e.g., CML) 14. Limited certifications, which will entail overall test setup/ test plan/ execution/ reporting and presenting lab test results 15. Lab data wipes as needed 16. Monthly status
