Key Responsibilities:
- Manage network routing and switching equipment, including configuration, operations, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance.
- Oversee wireless network infrastructure, including the setup, operation, and upkeep of access points and controllers.
- Administer and maintain all corporate firewalls and VPN appliances.
- Support the corporate-wide SD-WAN environment.
- Configure and maintain multi-factor authentication (MFA) and zero-trust access systems.
- Mentor and collaborate with team members, providing outstanding customer service.
- Partner with the Internal Security Team for regular security audits and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Efficiently handle escalated help desk tickets.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to research, define, and implement new technologies that drive corporate improvements.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and maintain broad knowledge of evolving technologies.
Technical Skills Required:
- OSI Model, Layer 2 protocols (R-STP, VPC, VXLAN), Layer 3 protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP), QoS.
- Wireless standards: WPA2/3, TKIP, 802.11, Wi-Fi.
- Access control and authentication: 802.1X, RADIUS, SAML, OIDC.
- Troubleshooting and security tools: Wireshark, NMAP, CACTI, MITRE Framework
- Cisco platforms: IOS, IOS-XE, NX-OS, Catalyst, Nexus switches, ISR routers
- SD-WAN: Palo Alto, Aruba; Fiber services.
- Palo Alto firewalls, Panorama, Global Protect; Cisco Secure Firewall, ASA, DMVPN.
- Tools: Tenable Nessus, Talos, Umbrella DNS, DLP, Sandboxing.
