The engineer will be responsible for evaluating, engineering, designing and troubleshooting enterprise scale LAN/WAN and wireless Campus/Branch networks. As part of the Network Engineering team the engineer is required to collaborate with the Enterprise Computing team, Security team and End-User technologies to understand the applications and provide end to end network solution as per the firm network standards. This includes selecting the right platforms, develop Bill of Material (BoM), designing new network topologies, create and maintain visio diagrams, configuration templates, IP addressing and would also create the low level design documents that contains all the switching/routing details, migration steps, Bandwidth Analysis etc. required for implementing the design. The engineer may need to provide all the network support for the change management over the weekend. The candidate will be responsible for the ownership and authoring of design documents, engineering standards and creates best practice technical architecture models utilizing knowledge of industry and technical trends collaborating with other Engineering teams, presenting to senior management, mentoring and knowledge transfer to team members across the organization. Participate in the weekly design meetings and actively engage with Project Managers to develop the execution and test plans for network changes. Serve as an escalation for the operating teams during network outages. Create and maintain best practices/policies and ensure that they are followed. Intimate working knowledge of security technologies and protocols as well as expert hands on knowledge of networking technologies listed below. Familiar with next generation Core, Branch Office/Campus design with focus on overlay technologies such as BGP-EVPN/VXLAN, Cisco SD Access. Ability to work both independently and as a team member is essential. Strong presentation skills are imperative to be able explain network design, articulate risk and facilitate decision making.Strong security focus and experience with Network Security Concepts and Multi-tier Security architectures in the IOT field specifically. Knowledge of endpoint profiling (ISE, Armis, Forescout etc.) and monitoring tools is an advantage
