They are seeking a Senior Network Engineer who thrives on tackling large-scale challenges and enjoys collaborating with a dynamic team of skilled Network Engineering experts. This individual will be responsible for maintaining and advancing innovative projects within a sophisticated, state-of-the-art SD-WAN environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and evaluate network models, conduct capacity planning, and analyze network infrastructure needs.
- Support the deployment, optimization, and management of network routers and switches, including Cisco Catalyst 3XXX, 9XXX, 6500, 6800, Nexus Switches, and Cisco 4XXX & 1100 Series Routers.
- Oversee global network projects, providing leadership to a focused team of onshore engineers.
- Collaborate with alert management systems and other IT teams to resolve issues quickly, minimizing downtime and ensuring the infrastructure meets business requirements.
- Facilitate daily ticket triage meetings with Network Operations staff, ensuring efficient resolution and distribution of incident and request tickets.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation for incidents and processes, presenting insights and updates to the team and leadership regularly.
- Assess IT infrastructure and applications for compliance with security standards, recommending enhancements to strengthen security and mitigate risks.
- Monitor enterprise and cloud security operations continuously, addressing and resolving security concerns as they arise.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining voice-enabled TCP/IP networks using Cisco or comparable enterprise-class equipment.
- Familiarity with Cisco VoIP solutions.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise Ethernet networks, VLANs, QOS, routing, switching, and IP addressing.
- Knowledge of carrier technologies such as T1/E1/PRI, ISDN, MPLS, and metro Ethernet, as well as systems integration.
- Experience with enterprise-class voice systems, particularly Cisco Unified Communications, including support for remote users.
- Proficiency in working with platforms like Cisco Call Manager, Unity, Cube, Palo Alto Firewalls, Spectrum, and ServiceNow.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience designing and implementing advanced voice technologies such as carrier SIP trunking and Cisco CUBE.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CISM.
- Expertise in Cisco Catalyst 3XXX, 9XXX, 6500, 6800, Nexus Switches, and Cisco 4XXX & 1100 Series Routers.
