Optomi, in partnership with an industry leading client of ours, are seeking a Network Engineer to provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support, assist with project implementations, and ensure the smooth operation of their networking environment. This would be a full time, direct hire opportunity with the client, reporting to their Norwich, Connecticut office on a hybrid schedule (3-4x a week).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for the client's network infrastructure, including troubleshooting issues and ensuring network availability to users.
- Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot networks to ensure swift return-to-service (Incident Management) and identify root causes (Problem Management).
- Install and maintain network hardware and software while analyzing and resolving system performance issues.
- Assess system performance and identify user needs based on approved requests.
- Work independently or lead specific projects as a Project Manager or technical consultant, ensuring alignment with approved technical approaches and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of networking experience or a relevant university degree.
- Solid understanding of network security procedures and best practices.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot network issues and customer applications.
