The selected Senior Network Engineer will be joining the Echo Program area of the Space Security Division of Lockheed Martin Space, Mission Solutions. This is a high speed, and growing program area that has demonstrated the ability to execute rapidly on ever changing customer priorities. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude who enjoys working in a team environment to overcome complex problems
Common Job Duties:
- Designs and plans network communications systems
- Provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.
- Provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and resources for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.
- Conducts testing of network design.
- Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, firewalls, switches, gateways, IPsec tunnels, etc.
- Evaluates and reports on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.
Basic Qualifications: Required Skills:
- Working knowledge of CISCO / Juniper network devices and configurations
- Compliance with DOD 8570 IAT Level II, Holding Sec +, CISSP, CASP, or other DOD compliant certification
- Working knowledge of Linux distributions
Security Clearance Requirements: - To meet requirements of the program/customer, this position requires the selected employee to be a U.S. Citizen.
- Qualified applicants must possess at minimum a currently Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility (either adjudicated or the ability to obtain SCI access) to be considered.
- Selected candidates will be required to possess Active Top Secret with adjudicated SCI Eligibility (i.e. TS/SCI) prior to starting employment.
Desired Skills: - Working knowledge of network routing protocols such as BGP / OSPF
- Experience applying STIGs to network devices
- Experience implementing and managing IPSEC tunnels
- Experience working with TACLANES
- Experience with monitoring, diagnostics, and troubleshooting complex WAN's
- Experience creating network diagrams and designs using software such as Visio

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
