You will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security. This position offers the opportunity to work on groundbreaking projects, collaborating with a team of experts to support mission-critical operations.You'd like to do this:
  • Design and implement new network solutions and/or improve the efficiency of current networks.
  • Install, configure, and support network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Procure network equipment and manage subcontractors involved with network installation.
  • Configure firewalls, routing, and switching to maximize network efficiency and security.
  • Maximize network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Arrange scheduled upgrades and perform network maintenance.
  • Investigate faults in the network and provide solutions.
  • Update network equipment to the latest firmware releases.
  • Report network status to key stakeholders.
You're required to have this:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees preferred for higher-level positions.
  • Experience ranging from entry-level (1-3 years) to senior-level (7+ years) in network engineering or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS).
  • Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP).
  • Experience with network simulation tools.
  • Certification as a Network Engineer or Network Administrator is a plus (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Salary Range: $100,000 - $175,000The BlueHalo pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
