The client is an established financial services firm in NYC who is looking for a Network Engineer to sit ONSITE 5 days a week!
Description
- Develop and manage local network security plans, including monitoring and intrusion prevention.
- Maintain standard operating procedures for business continuity, disaster recovery, and security.
- Oversee network and communication infrastructure with vendor support.
- Manage AWS cloud infrastructure for in-house applications, including firewall and deployment automation.
- Provide user support for on-premise and remote employees while collaborating effectively within the team.
Profile
- 5-10 years of experience
- Strong expertise in network administration, management, and cybersecurity is essential.
- Proficient in network security, with extensive experience in configuring firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS systems to protect enterprise networks.
- In-depth knowledge of the TCP/IP stack and advanced networking protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs) for designing resilient LAN/WAN environments.
- Experience managing DNS, DHCP, and working with enterprise carriers for circuit design and implementation.
- Skilled in AWS for firewall configurations and resource management, with a strong focus on enterprise wireless network design and maintenance.
