Job Title: Network Engineer (Security RADIUS Engineer)

Role Type: Contract to Hire

Location: REMOTE position

Clearance: Active Public Trust required

Certifications: CCIE is required

THE HIGH LEVEL

ALTA IT Services has an immediate need for an experienced Network Engineer (Security RADIUS Engineer) interested in a remote opportunity!

WHAT YOULL BE DOING

  • Selected candidate will work directly with customer teams to provide advanced engineering services inclusive of both test and real-world environment
  • Perform highly complex technical tasks, solve highly complex technical problems or issues concerning customers enterprise Cisco infrastructure and its interconnections with other vendors systems
  • Support the management, functionality, and security of customers Cisco inventory within the enterprise
  • Participate in and support joint discussions with customer stakeholders on their overall software strategy to include the development of operating procedures and support documentation
  • Remote Authentication Dial-In User Service (RADIUS) engineers will engineer, design, implement and troubleshoot the VAs RADIUS implementation with a focus on Security across the enterprise in VA owned and leased spaces.
  • Projects include enhancements to security, transition to IPv6, automation, design, and configuration planning of new equipment.
  • Lead implementations with multiple customer teams to accomplish mission goals.
  • Assist with both high-level and low-level design documentations
  • Effectively work independently and within a team environment

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  • Expertise with Cisco security specializing on Palo Alto networks, and Cisco Secure Firewall platforms
  • Expertise with designing, implementing, and troubleshooting enterprise level Radius operations.
  • Expertise in Automation of deployment, vulnerability remediations, updates and configuration of Radius systems
  • Expertise with oversight of a team running a trouble ticket system.
  • Demonstrated success using modern DevOps methods and tools including automated testing tools and monitoring tools.
  • Expertise in 802.1X based on X.509 Certs Medium Access Control (MAC) Authentication Bypass (MAB) and device profiling

Minimum Education Level - Current CCIE Security Certification

Minimum 15 years experience as a networking security engineer spanning multiple locations.

Desirable (not required) locations: Chicago, IL; Sterling, VA; Dallas, TX; San Diego, CA
