**Job Title: Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer****Job Overview:**We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer to join our IT infrastructure team. The NOC Engineer will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting our network and systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability. This role is critical in ensuring the availability of our network services and timely incident resolution.**Job Responsibilities:**1. **Network Monitoring:** - Continuously monitor network performance, availability, and security using network monitoring tools. - Identify and respond to network alerts and incidents in a timely manner.2. **Incident Management:** - Investigate and resolve network incidents, outages, and connectivity issues. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to escalate and resolve complex incidents.3. **Troubleshooting:** - Perform network troubleshooting and diagnostics to identify the root causes of issues. - Follow established procedures and best practices for incident resolution.4. **Documentation:** - Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, changes, and incident reports. - Document incident details, resolutions, and lessons learned for knowledge sharing.5. **Performance Monitoring:** - Monitor network performance, bandwidth utilization, and capacity planning. - Implement performance optimization strategies as needed.6. **Security Monitoring:** - Assist in monitoring network security measures, including firewall logs and intrusion detection systems (IDS). - Detect and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities.7. **Communication:** - Provide clear and timely communication to stakeholders regarding network incidents and maintenance activities. - Collaborate with third-party vendors and service providers as necessary.8. **Shift Work and On-Call Support:** - Participate in rotating shifts to ensure 24/7 network monitoring and support. - Be available for on-call support during off-hours as needed.**Job Requirements:**- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).- Proven experience as a Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer or in a similar network monitoring and incident management role.- Strong knowledge of networking protocols, topologies, and troubleshooting techniques.- Proficiency in network monitoring tools and incident management systems.- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.- Effective communication skills for reporting incidents and collaborating with cross-functional teams.- Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate documentation and incident records.- Willingness to work in shifts and participate in on-call support as part of a team.- Familiarity with network security concepts and best practices is advantageous.- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA) are a plus.If you are a technically skilled and proactive NOC Engineer with a strong commitment to network monitoring, incident resolution, and network security, we encourage you to apply for this role.
