KDS Job ID 2425108 Koniag Data Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a skilled Network Operations Support Specialist with a TS/SCI clearance to support KDS and our government customer in Boyers, PA. This position is for a Future New Business Opportunity. Koniag Data Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Network Support Specialist with a minimum of 3 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in configuring and supporting enterprise-class network hardware in a highly redundant environment to ensure uptime requirements are met. They must be capable of independently responding to errors and hardware exceptions on a wide array of network hardware and able to be on-site at one of OPM's datacenter locations within 2 hours of an identified event. The candidate must prioritize information security from the initiation of IT system design and maintain consideration throughout the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Security controls must align with the system's criticality and sensitivity, following the NIST Cybersecurity Framework guidance. Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Configuring and supporting enterprise-class network hardware, ensuring uptime requirements are met, and responding to errors and hardware exceptions independently.
  • Working both independently and within a team to provide network support for enterprise-class hardware systems.
  • Utilizing various infrastructure tools for monitoring purposes, network-based configuration backups, incident reporting, and ticket tracking.
Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in configuring and supporting enterprise-class network hardware.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team to provide network support for enterprise-class hardware systems.
  • Proficiency in using infrastructure tools for monitoring, configuration backups, incident reporting, and ticket tracking.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Certifications:
  • AZ-900: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
Desired Skills and Competencies:
  • Knowledge and experience in information security practices within the system development lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with NIST guidelines, particularly SP 800-37, SP 800-207, and SP 800-160.
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.
Working Environment & Conditions This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
