POSITION SUMMARY:
The Digital Architecture Security Consulting Engineer (SCE) will engage in small to large projects including design, implementation and troubleshooting, of advanced Cisco-based networks including Next Generation Firewalls. Cloud-based Security solutions, as well as Identity Services technology. SCE's are primarily responsibility for post-sale project technical support, execution and completion of project deliverables, and ongoing support engagements. As well as being a team member on complex engagements involving multiple (cross-architecture) technologies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED.
- Communicate and cooperate with project management and technical peers to effectively plan, execute, and complete project engagements.
- Assess Digital Architectures project presales proposals, Statements of Work, Bills of Material, and other project definition source materials to validate project execution and technical feasibility.
- Participate in the exchange of information between clients, third party sub-contractors, Aspire Technology Partners project management and technical peers.
- Gather, consolidate, prepare, document, and distribute standardized project technical information in various formats, including but not limited to: PDF, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Design and develop technical approaches to project deliverables in accordance with Cisco/Aspire published best practices
- Perform and document inventory of equipment and project related assets, including hardware and related components, and licensing
- Assemble hardware components and install devices into final mounted and operable positions, including physical connectivity for power, network link, and human interface
- Engage and coordinate the assistance of Cisco's Technical Assistance Center (TAC) or other Manufacturer Support Teams to effectively and expeditiously resolve technical issues.
- Design | Deploy | Test: Cisco Networks and security services.
- Engage with the Aspire NOC to assist with client escalations
- Designs network solutions with Microsoft Visio or similar graphing product
- Deploy | Test: Security Services using ASA, FIREPPOWER, and Identity Services Engine (ISE)
- Deploy | Test: Cloud-based Security products such as Umbrella, AMP for Endpoints, Stealthwatch, Cisco Email Security.
- Deploy | Test: Software Defined Network Services using SDA, SDWAN, and DNA
Minimum Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in an Information Technology related major and 5+ Years of on the job experience.
- Routing-Switching and/or
- Cisco Security
- 1-2 Years' experience in a Deployment role including: ASA, FIREPOWER, Meraki MX, Umbrella, AMP for Endpoints, Cisco Email Security (CES), StealthWatch Cloud, Identity Services Engine (ISE)
- Must Possess In-depth understanding of Cisco Security products, and validated designs.
- Professional Level Certifications – CCNA and/or CCNA Security
TRAVEL:
Our client based is concentrated in NJ/NY/PA, but we do have clients up and down the Eastern Seaboard. Depending on your tasks, you may be required to go on-site
