We're recruiting a Network Security Engineer for a forward-thinking security team. You'll be central to maintaining and enhancing our client's cybersecurity measures. This pivotal role involves managing both internal and cloud-based security solutions, deploying innovative tools, and actively participating in incident response efforts. Your technical expertise will be crucial in navigating network security, scripting for automation, and collaborating with our IT department to secure our business operations. Location: New York City (Hybrid, 3 days/week) Salary: $125,000 - $140,000 What You'd be Responsible for:
- System Configuration: Install, configure, and rigorously test a variety of security tools and technologies, ensuring seamless integration into our security architecture.
- Network Security Management: Oversee firewall operations and manage security measures to maintain the integrity of network traffic without disrupting legitimate activities.
- Security Updates: Maintain an up-to-date understanding of emerging security threats and technology trends to ensure our defenses are always ahead.
- Collaborative Security Solutions: Work closely with the IT team to architect and implement secure systems across internal and cloud environments, ensuring alignment with our strategic goals.
- Threat Detection and Response: Manage and enhance security monitoring frameworks to swiftly detect and address potential threats, contributing effectively to incident response strategies.
- Automation and Integration: Utilize scripting (Python, Ansible, Bash) to automate security processes, reducing manual interventions and increasing efficiency.
- Security Assurance: Support the maintenance of user authentication protocols, manage certificates, and oversee secure B2B connectivity to safeguard all data exchanges.
What Experience We're Looking For:
- Fundamental Expertise: Solid grasp of network security protocols, encryption standards, and cloud security frameworks.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with system configurations, network diagnostics, and using scripting languages for security automation.
- Professional Experience: At least 3 years in security engineering or a related field, with hands-on experience in managing complex security systems and firewalls.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Advanced security certifications (CISSP, CCSP) are advantageous.
