Job Title: Network Specialist L4 -4774 Job Location: Scott Air Force Base IL 62225 Job Summary Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is looking for an enthusiastic, well-qualified individual to fill the level four Network Specialist position and to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. As a level four Network Specialist, your main function will be to maintain, install components, troubleshoot, and diagnose telecommunications and network problems on both classified and unclassified networks such as transport mechanisms, routers and switches. Skills / Experience Required

• Secret Clearance
• 10+ years of Network Specialist experience
• Identification, testing, evaluation, documentation, installation, maintenance, and configuration of telecommunications and network infrastructure hardware and software
• Proficient in troubleshooting intra- and inter-building connectivity issues including fiber and copper transport mechanisms
• Skilled in formulating logical designs for network problems and devising solutions
• Experienced in creating technical documentation and support manuals.
• Conducts trend analysis to proactively address network integration issues
• Delivers various documentation including physical designs, implementation plans, topology maps, architecture drawings, and trend reports
• Manages installation, operations, and maintenance of the Joint Training and Experimentation Network (JTEN)
• Operates and maintains all networking devices from the Air Force Network (AFNET) Site Premise Router to on-site participant networks
• Provides network support for both unclassified and classified networks
• Administers servers and workstations, including identification of emerging technologies, evaluation, documentation, installation, and configuration
• Supports system backups at alternate sites and Continuity of Operations Plan facilities
• Conducts maintenance to ensure network hardware operates within functional and design specifications, including fault isolation of hardware and software failures

Education / Certifications

• Must possess and maintain an IASAE level certification

Security Clearance Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense active security clearance is required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information. Physical Requirements Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and that may include lifting to thirty pounds, as necessary.
