The Systems Administrator is responsible for the best-practices installation, configuration, operation, support, and lifecycle maintenance of Windows-based server operating systems, related hardware, and applications. The incumbent will ensure the availability and reliability of the organization's IT infrastructure.
Required Qualifications:

Education:
* Requires an AA/AS degree in computer science or related field plus equivalent to five years full-time related experience, OR;
* A BA/BS degree and equivalent to three years full-time related experience, OR;

Licenses or Certificates:
* Valid Oregon driver's license required.
Experience:
* A minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration is required.
* Requires experience in Windows Server Administration, Active Directory, networking protocols, capacity planning, customer service, documentation, backup and disaster recovery, server installation and configuration.
* Experience working with ticketing systems, VMWare/HyperV, Veeam, SCCM, etc.
Knowledge and Skills:

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work is normally performed in an office setting with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards. May require some early/late or weekend hours. More than 50 percent of time is spent working on a computer.
Requires good hand-eye coordination, hand and finger dexterity including ability to grasp. Requires good arm, hand, and finger dexterity in order to operate keyboard and other office equipment and to install equipment. Requires visual acuity to read words and numbers and operate equipment, and speaking and hearing to communicate in person or over the phone.
Essential Duties:
* Acts as the primary Systems Administrator for the administration, design, engineering and implementation of college servers, networked services, printing, web applications, and related software and hardware.
* Acts as the primary Systems Administrator for the integration, administration, and maintenance of the Windows Server Domain/Active Directory, SSO, ADFS, Group Policy, and related applications and services. Works closely with the Network Manager to establish comprehensive authentication amongst all network platforms.
* Implements and enhances security measures and protocols to secure college systems and networks including certificates, services, firewalls, and applications to protect system data.
* Implement, manage, and maintain endpoint management technologies for efficient and effective patching, maintenance, and deployments.
* Oversees the administration of user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
* Execute and manage projects including server builds, system migrations, application migrations and installations and more.
* Configure and troubleshoot network services including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
* Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations and processes.
* Keep software up to date and maintain appropriate patching schedules as per policy.
* Works with Network team members to implement and maintain backup strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
* Perform regular system updates, patches, and firmware updates.
* Maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory of all network and systems assets and configurations.
* Performs other related duties as assigned.
