The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) is an agency of the Department of Defense and the DLA Information Operations, Enterprise Infrastructure Services (EIS), Network & Telecommunications Services (NTS), Local Area Network Branch (NTS-LAN) and is located enterprise wide at multiple DLA locations. We support wired and wireless LAN functions by providing skills and expertise in telecom engineering and operational support of current and new technologies to the Local Area Network (LAN). The engineer manages and ensures the technical integrity of the system baseline over time, continually updating it as various changes are imposed on the system during the lifecycle from development through deployment, operations, and maintenance.Minimum Qualifications:
- Two (2) years network operations experience. Higher level education or military service can be used in lieu of 2 years network operations experience
- Experience in telecommunications network design and management
- Experience in analysis and design of voice networks, LAN and WAN data networks, wireless networks, and/or network management systems to support voice and data services
- Experience in performing and providing for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing of complex hardware/software systems
Certification Requirements:
- IA Level: IAT-II One of the following: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH
- and one of the following: CCSE NGX, CCNA, CCNP, CCSP, SCNA, CCSE NGX Plus NG with AI, CCMSE NG with AI, CSMSE NG with AI Plus VSX, NSA, ESE
