This position is benefits eligible.ShiftDayHours Per Week40Salary RangeDepends on ExperienceNeuro Interventional/Stroke Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant / OverviewQualificationsThis position requires a strong background in neurology/stroke, interventional radiology, or neurosurgery, along with excellent clinical and critical-thinking skills; new graduates interested will be strongly consideredThe ideal candidate will preferably have at least two years of experience, neurology, neurosurgery, or stroke-related experience and should be able to thrive in a fast-paced and challenging environment, delivering high-quality care to patientsMaster's degree in Nursing or a relevant field from an accredited programCurrent, unrestricted Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) license and certificationMinimum of 2-3 years of experience in neurology, interventional radiology, or neurosurgeryStrong knowledge or interest in neurovascular diseases, interventions, and proceduresExceptional clinical and critical-thinking skillsEffective communication and interpersonal abilities for collaborating with the healthcare team and educating patientsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environmentProficiency in utilizing electronic medical record systems and other healthcare technologyCommitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of advancements in neurointerventional careResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities and ExpectationsAs an APP, you will play a crucial role in the comprehensive care of patients with neurovascular conditions, working closely with the neurointerventional and stroke teamPatient Assessment And DiagnosisConduct thorough neurovascular assessments, including history taking, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic testsFormulate accurate diagnoses and develop appropriate treatment plans for patients with neurovascular conditions, such as strokes, aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations (AVMs), and vascular stenosisPerform outpatient clinic visits on new, existing, and post-procedure patients to coordinate their care in coordination with an Attending physician.Treatment Planning And ImplementationCollaborate with the neurointerventional team to develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings, imaging results, and patient preferencesPatient Management And Follow-UpMonitor and manage patients' post-procedure, assessing their response to treatment, identifying complications, and initiating appropriate interventionsEvaluate and manage potential neurological complications, such as vasospasms, hemorrhages, and infectionsProvide patient education on post-procedure care, medications, lifestyle modifications, and follow-up requirementsCollaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, interventional radiologists, neurosurgeons, anesthesiologists, and critical care nurses, to ensure comprehensive patient careParticipate actively in multidisciplinary conferences and contribute to treatment planning discussionsProvide consultation and guidance to nursing staff, residents, and other healthcare professionals regarding neurovascular careParticipate in research initiatives and quality improvement projects to advance neurointerventional care and enhance patient outcomesCollect and analyze data, participate in data-driven discussions, and contribute to academic publications and presentations
