The Department of Neurology at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, NJ, part of Rutgers- the State University of New Jersey, seeks a full-time faculty to start on July 1, 2023. Function as Chief of the Division of Neuromuscular Disorders in the Department of Neurology. Board-eligible or certified neurologists with strong interests in clinical research and teaching. Participate in the clinical care of patients with neurological disorders in the sub-specialty of Neuromuscular Disorders according to a schedule determined by the Chair.
ResponsibilitiesThe Division of Neurology includes nationally and internationally recognized faculty with a proud record of productivity in clinical and translational research and excellent regional and national reputations as clinical referral targets. The department has 27 full-time faculty, 12 residents, and five nationally recognized centers of excellence. Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital is the primary teaching hospital for the medical school.

QualificationsMinimum Education and Experience: MD Candidates must be graduates of an ACGME-accredited neurology residency, be board certified or eligible in neurology; have completed a fellowship in neuromuscular disorders or related clinical neurosciences, and be eligible for a New Jersey License. Rank and track will be consistent with qualifications.
Physical Demands and Work EnvironmentMust be able to lift 20 pounds and have direct contact with rodents.
