Description:One full-time clinical faculty position at the Assistant/Associate Professor level in the Department of Neurological Surgery for a Board Certified or Board Eligible neuro-oncology focused neurosurgeon. Position entails joining a multidisciplinary academic neurosurgery practice, including elective practice and shared neurosurgical trauma call at a Level One Trauma Center. The department is comprised of neurosurgeons, neurosurgical residents, spine physiatrists, neurointensivists and specially trained Advanced Practice Providers in an academic setting with research opportunities.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications:MD, DO (or foreign equivalent). Completion of an ACGME neurosurgical residency program. Board Eligible/Board Certified by ABNS or AOA in Neurosurgery. Must have New York State medical license upon hire and be eligible for one upon application. Fellowship training or additional specialized training/extensive experience in Neurosurgical-Oncology.
Preferred Qualifications:Possession of the skills necessary to cover pediatric emergencies. Possession of PhD (or foreign equivalent). Evidence of interest in clinical or basic research.

Special Notes:Non-Tenure Track position. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. To qualify for a senior faculty appointment, the candidate must meet the criteria established by the School of Medicine.
