**NEW APPOINTMENT: CEO Hostelworld Gary Morrison**
May 15th, 2018 | | Hostelworld Groups long-serving CEO Feargal Mooney is stepping down next month. Expedias head of retail, Gary Morrison (pictured), will replace him. Mooney has been at Hostelworld for 16 years and served as CEO for the last 10. He was instrumental in the companys growth and led it to an IPO in 2015. Morrisons appointment comes after what Hostelworld called a rigorous search process. He will take over on June 11, immediately after the companys annual general meeting. Gary joined Expedia in 2011 as Vice President and General Manager EMEA, and was appointed Senior Vice President and Head of Retail Expedia Worldwide in 2013.
