Job Description Position background Administrative support for clinic, process referrals for Medicare Advantage plan and back support for front office with checking in patients. Responsibilities Greets patients as they arrive and manages 20-minute wait time. Assists patient with intake processes including copying required documents. Assist with coordination and processing of all patient referrals for specialty services. Enter all referral, hospital, outpatient, DME and other patient specialty health service authorizations into the computer system according to Company policy and procedure. Receives consultant reports, maintains documentation, and routes to the appropriate physician promptly. Answers phones and schedules appointments. Completes all administrative functions associated with referral activities in a timely manner. Ensures all correspondence is scanned and/or filed in timely manner. 11. Performs all other related duties as assigned.What does the ideal candidate background look like Healthcare background, preferably primary care and experience with processing referrals, experience with Medicare Advantage insurance plans, great customer service.Required skills/attributes One to two years of related work experience including data entry. Working knowledge of medical office procedures and medical terminology. Ability to accurately sort and file materials by alphabetic or numeric systems. Effective communication and customer service skills required. Ability to multitask, effective time-management, and organization.Preferred skills/attributes: 2+ years of customer service Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, ect.) Experience with eCW (EMR system)
