Night Auditor Reports to Guest Service ManagerOR General Manager JOB DESCRIPTION Summary/Objective The Night Auditor is responsible for ensuring that all daily reports are generated, daily revenues are balanced, express checkouts are processed efficiently and guests needing assistance during the shift are accommodated. The Night Auditor will provide the management team with accurate and reliable information needed to make effective operational decisions. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. •Approach all encounters with guests and team members in a friendly, service-oriented manner. •Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Peachtree Hospitality Management standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel. •Maintain high standards of appearance and grooming, which include wearing a correct name tag when working. •Approach all guest encounters with a friendly and open manner. •Always comply with Peachtree Hospitality Management standards and policies to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations. •Audit guest accounts to ensure that room rates and market codes are accurate. •Audit guest accounts for pricing and sales tax errors. •Reconcile the correct cash figure based on reports. •Verify that all food and beverage figures have been accounted for by cash, charge or corrections. •Prepare daily sales summary. •Post all room and tax to all active guest accounts. •Run all computer reports necessary to complete gross revenue report worksheets. •Act as the Manager on Duty. •May be asked to set up the morning complimentary breakfast for the guests. •Organize the front office area by 6:30 a.m. so that the A.M. front office staff can properly prepare for their shift. •Maintain and administer all internal night audit controls. •Perform other duties as requested by management. •Attend all training/meetings as requested by management. Competencies •Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly, both oral and written. •Must be effective at listening to, understanding and clarifying concerns and issues raised by team members and guests. •Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic function. Physical Demands •Long hours sometimes required. •Light work-exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. •Ability to stand for long hours at a time. Travel Required •0% Required Education and Experience •High School Diploma or GED certificate is preferred, and/or equivalent work experience. •At least one-year guest service experience in hospitality environment or equivalent experience required. •Problem resolution experience preferred. •Proven computer skills required.
