Position: Night Crew

Piazza's Fine Foods (www.piazzasfinefoods.com), an upscale, family-owned grocery store, is seeking a part time night crew stocker for our grocery department.

Job Summary

The night crew clerk is responsible for the maintaining a clean, organized and safe work environment and ensuring that the shift contributes to the financial best interests of the store.

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds and use a variety of tools and equipment, including pricing guns, utility knives, power and hand jacks, pallets, carts, balers and forklifts.

Example of Duties

• Assist in receiving and unloading of merchandise. Check products for quality, count, and condition.
• Store the items in their appropriate places (storage or shelf areas)
• Remove and dispose of packaging material
• Safely utilize forklifts to move materials according to proper safety instructions and as directed
• Maintain pricing, stocking and rotation of merchandize in the grocery area in accordance to company policy or as assigned. Ensure that featured sale merchandise is properly and attractively signed to stimulate sales.
• Handle damages and spoiled products according to company policy and assist in controlling the level of damaged goods
• Comply fully with safety policies and procedures

Requirements, Skills and Experience:

• Maintain positive working relationships with management and coworkers.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Understand and follow directions in oral, written, or diagram form.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.; stand, bend, reach, twist, and turn for up to 4 hours continuously
• Must have full availability to work on weekends and holidays
