The selected applicant will be assigned to one of the following schedule:
3:30pm-11:30pm or 4:00pm-12:30am, depending on the building The Night Custodial Floater must be able to report to any 44 CPS building each day. The CPS Director of Custodial Services will make applicants aware of the type of Floater position(s) available at the time of interview. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Performs regular custodial duties in assigned area(s) or building(s).
- Projects a positive image of the school district with his/her team whenever the public, guests or visitors are in the building.
- Accepts and follows verbal or written instructions from the head custodian/supervisor.
- Provides services as directed to support curricular and extracurricular events and activities.
- Maintains inventory of custodial/maintenance supplies and equipment.
- Restocks disposable custodial/maintenance items and provides the head custodian/supervisor with inventory usage data.
- Cleans and preserves the designated spaces, equipment, furniture, etc. in the building.
- Maintains building security by opening and closing the building each school day and during special events as directed.
- Is available for emergency clean up or maintenance of the building(s) or area(s) outside of the regular work hours.
