Job Type Full-time, Part-timeDescriptionJob Function:Presents the knowledge and skills necessary to provide basic quality care and non-technical services for residents. Optimizes resident safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/healthcare errors.Ensure residents' needs are met and facility policies are followed.Essential Functions:Presents the knowledge and skills necessary to provide basic quality care and nontechnical services for the residents. Optimizes resident safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/healthcare errors. Ensure residents' needs are met and facility policies are followed. Essential Functions: 1. Monitor self-administration of client medications. 2. Be alert for indications of common side effects, reactions, and possible interactions of medications prescribed for residents.3. Ensure all client prescriptions are filled in a timely manner. 4. Prevent dangerous or violent behavior of clients that may be harmful to other residents or staff. 5. Utilize appropriate behavior management techniques in crisis situations. 6. Utilize resources for obtaining assistance when needed. 7. Monitor living quarters and other buildings to ensure the safety and cleanliness of the facility. 8. Make sure unattended units and offices are secured and locked nightly. 9. Assist in bed checks during your shift. 10. Conduct security check of premises and document in communications log. 11. Make sure clients adhere to RL guidelines on campus. 12. Document all client activities during the shift in the communications log. 13. Report any unusual activity or situation to the Director of Recovery Services through incident reports and shift notes. 14. Collect urine specimens from residents for alcohol and drug testing. 15. Do all clinical filing in clients' charts. 16. Bring all of clinical staff's folder contents from tech office to clinical office and put into the appropriate boxes. 17. Complete various projects given by Program Director/Operations Manager. 18. Assist in medication inventory nightly. 19. Assist in cleaning schedule nightly. 20. Report any medication errors to Director of Nursing Non-Essential Functions:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Texas Driver's License with acceptable driving record.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare/rehab setting preferred.
  • Preferred 1 Year in Active/Continuous Recovery
  • Knowledge and understanding of Substance Abuse Treatment, 12-Step Philosophy, and Mindfulness practices.
  • Ability to be flexible with work schedule according to the needs of Burning Tree.
  • General computer knowledge.
  • Strong communication skills both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
