Position Overview

Keany Produce, a leader in providing high-quality fresh produce and specialty products across the Mid-Atlantic region, is seeking an experienced Night Operations Manager to join our team in Charleston, SC. This critical role ensures smooth, efficient, and safe warehouse operations during the night shift, focusing on the Shipping, Receiving, and Short Order departments. As the Night Operations Manager, you will lead a team of warehouse staff to achieve productivity goals while maintaining our commitment to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead & Motivate: Manage and inspire a team of order selectors, loaders, and short order selectors to achieve efficiency and productivity during the night shift.
  • Workflow Management: Organize, assign, and monitor tasks using computers and scanners to ensure accurate and timely order processing.
  • Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety standards and company policies, addressing any issues promptly to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Training & Development: Train, mentor, and integrate new hires into the team, ensuring they understand company processes and safety protocols.
  • Disciplinary & Performance Management: Address disciplinary issues, conduct performance reviews, and implement improvement plans as needed.
  • Operational Problem-Solving: Proactively troubleshoot and resolve product discrepancies, shortages, and other operational challenges.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Manage shift time sheets via Paycom, verify employee hours, and provide accurate warehouse documentation.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all orders are accurately selected, securely packaged, and ready for loading in a timely manner, meeting productivity output standards.
  • Returns Management: Oversee the returns desk and manage all return processes effectively.
  • Warehouse Organization: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, ensuring it meets operational standards.
Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: At least 6 months or more in a supervisory or management role within a warehouse environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with stand-up forklifts, electric riding pallet jacks, and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with HACCP, GMPs, food safety concepts, USDA/FDA guidelines, and current DOT regulations.
  • Language Skills: Spanish proficiency is a plus.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing work assignments and priorities in a dynamic environment.
