Job Overview The Mechanical Design Engineer will play a crucial role on behalf of our client in the design and development of innovative mechanical solutions that enhance machine performance and reliability. This position is essential to advancing the company's technology and maintaining its leadership in the design and manufacture of high-frequency vibrating machines and screen surfaces. The role involves both improving existing equipment and pioneering cutting-edge designs to address industry challenges. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components and equipment that meet industry standards and specifications.
- Innovate and create solutions to industry challenges with a forward-thinking and out-of-the-box approach.
- Test and validate prototypes for reliability and durability in demanding environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration and functionality of designs.
- Produce and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including CAD models, drawings, and specifications.
- Research and implement improvements to existing designs and processes.
- Stay updated on industry advancements to integrate best practices into designs.
- Perform simulations and analyses to verify design integrity and performance.
- Complete project tasks within established timelines.
Requirements Include Education
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Technology.
Experience
- Proven experience in mechanical design engineering, with hands-on development of designs.
Skills
- Proficiency in CAD software such as Autodesk Inventor or similar tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including performing simulations and analyses.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, fostering a collaborative approach to projects.
Certifications
- Certifications in related mechanical engineering fields are advantageous but not required.
Knowledge
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, assembly techniques, machining, and welded fabrications is preferred.
- Understanding of FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) is helpful but not mandatory.
