Mechanical has provided a full range of refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, drain cleaning, and environmental services to commercial, industrial and residential customers. POSITION OVERVIEW: The main duty of the dispatcher is to interact with field technicians in real time by assigning service calls and other job-related assignments. Also, additionally responsible for real time updates of service call status and maintaining the dispatch board, which is a critical function to keep the schedule current and organized at all times. POSITION SCHEDULE: The Night Shift Dispatcher schedule is full time. Thursday - Sunday *** JOB RESPONSIBILITIES *** Create, open, and close work order requests Create and edit purchase orders for work orders and truck stock Plan, schedule, and dispatch technicians to the appropriate customer, based on technician's skill set, location, and priority of customer needs Full ownership of the G.E. Mechanical dispatch board, ensure all work orders are moved to the appropriate locations and are completed in a timely manner Screen phone calls and direct them to the proper department Take service requests from customers to create work orders Create new customers in software program Ensure proper work order times are entered into software program Utilize GPS tracking software to run truck reports, cross reference ticket times, locate and dispatch technicians Other duties as directed *** JOB REQUIREMENTS*** Ability to multitask in a fast paced, ever-changing environment Strong verbal & written communication skills Dispatch & data entry experience is required Able to work with minimal supervision, make prompt and decisive decisions Extreme attention to detail is necessary Proficient in Microsoft (Word, Excel, & Outlook) Minimum typing speed of 65 wpm Other duties as directed *** Rewarding Your Performance *** Company paid vacation and holidays Commission and company bonus available based on performance Company health care, vision, and dental benefits 401k plan with Company match Company paid life insurance Education and training provided with monetary incentives available for completed education courses G.E.
