JOB DETAILSBase Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour plus $2 per hour shift differentialNight shift: 7:00pm - 7:00am 2-2-3DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESWork safely and efficiently in a quality assurance production environment. A trainee will be required to learn and perform various quality tasks related to the inspection of profiles with direct guidance and assistance from senior quality team to ensure product compliance to established manufacturing standards.Inspect and document in-process vinyl productsCommunicate and provide samples to initiate corrective action for non-conforming materialQuarantine and re-inspect material when an issue is identifiedIntroduce and record inventory of finished productsDocument scrap/downtime, revise scheduling board as run cycles are completedMaintain Quality area of responsibility for efficient workflowSupport/assist quality staff as neededPull, file and make copies of quality audit sheetsSupport production floor with various tasks: material handling, general housekeeping, etcBasic knowledge and use of measurement devices: calipers, tape measure, impact testers, spectrometer, PLV and the tools required for sample collectionBasic knowledge of Data Color Tools, Excel, Word, and Image ToolsManufacturing plant environment. Exposed to routine industrial hazards/safety hazards that require PPEWalks/stands for 12 hours, frequently carries 0 - 10 lbs. occasionally carries 10-20 lbsMust use hands frequently for grasping and fine manipulationPosition requires agility and mobility performing such activities as stooping, kneeling, crouching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and liftingMust be able to work in a hot environmentThe principal responsibilities and duties are intended to describe the functions that are essential to the performance of the jobIn addition, employees holding this position will be required to perform other job-related duties as requested by supervisor/management/senior quality staffQUALIFICATIONSAbility to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waistPerform function checks throughout the day to insure we are meeting standards
