An individual in this class has general construction and maintenance responsibilities for a large facility(s). Duties involve performing the actual work.   • Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Use standard hand tools and equipment common to the mechanical and structural trades.
  • Knowledge of the occupational hazards of: mechanical and electrical building equipment; tools and equipment associated with maintenance activities.
  • Relate well with others (customers, co-workers, supervisors, etc.).
  • Learn and use basic computer skills.
  • Perform administrative functions related to building systems maintenance (complete forms, record filing, etc.).
Physical Demands
  • Stand, walk, stoop, squat, climb stairs, work from standard and/or extended ladders and lift up to 75 lbs during a normal 8 hours work shift.
  • Work under adverse weather conditions (heat, rain cold).
  • Driving to perform job related duties.
