We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Resident Care Assistants/Home Health Aides who have a heart for senior care and can improve the quality of life of residents with Alzheimer's disease and dementia in our dedicated Reflections Memory Care Neighborhood. Your role is essential to the care and safety of residents who choose to call The Bristal home. The attention and understanding spirit that you bring helps to create a supportive environment for these residents, who, above all, need kindness, reassurance, and genuine caring each day.Additional responsibilities include:Assisting residents manage Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)Escorting residents to meals and recreational activitiesHelping out as needed in the Resident Services area to ensure the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of our residentsFollowing all policies and procedures, and adhering to the instructions of the Nurse Shift Supervisor and the Director of WellnessQualifications:NJ-Certified Nursing Assistant or Home Health AideExperience assisting those with Alzheimer's disease and dementia is a plusMust be able to speak and read in EnglishPrevious experience with geriatric population preferred, providing assistance with ADLsAbility to follow instructions and establish personal care routinesBasic understanding of dementia; patience and professionalism in redirecting residentsAbility to adjust to different personality types and situations in positive waysMust always be reliable, caring, and gentle in touch and demeanorMaintain an abiding respect for the elderly and remain calm at all times#J-18808-Ljbffr
