PEOAVN Acquisition Logistics team member responsible for assisting with the review, editing and staffing of all programmatic documentation thru the PEOAVN G-4 office. Specializes in Acquisition Logistics Documentation. Supports PEOAVN DPEO and COS special projects efforts to include 0346 personnel development efforts, and lines of work efforts within the PEO Headquarters and PM offices. Key areas of responsibility and support provided; documentation reviews, Operational Readiness reviews, Materiel Release tracking, ILA tracking and coordination, Transition to Sustainment documentation development and staffing support. Career fielding 0346 development support efforts. Leverages DCPDS, Power BI , SharePoint to planning, coordinate, and execute support to the acquisition logistics team, APEO for Logistics, DPEO and COS.
Position Responsibilities: - Experience planning, coordinating, communicating, and providing oversight of Acquisition documentation development, coordination, and approval.
- Possess extensive knowledge of the Planning, and Execution of Acquisition Logistics support and oversight of Logistics support by the PEO G-4.
- Possess extensive knowledge of the Army staffing, communications, and coordination processes that enable documentation approval.
- Full understanding of Army materiel processes as outlined in AR700-142 to support Materiel release efforts of the PEO assigned PM Offices.
- Experience with managing and coordinating with CECOM, AMCOM, AMC, and ASA(ALT) on Acquisition documentation efforts.
- Renders input in preparation for high-level meetings with customers, senior Army officers and civilians, corporate executives, government action officers, and other vendors. This input may be narrative or charts and should be of a quality that little rework is required by senior analyst or PM.
- Manage assigned materiel fielding accounts or program elements to a level of accuracy expected of a senior analyst.
- Review, analyze, and interpret various PEOAVN materiel release data to ensure compliance with AMCOM and CECOM Commander approved materiel releases.
- Participates in meetings with customers, senior Army officers and civilians, government action officers, and other vendors to gather and integrate data, assist with project scheduling and track progress of assigned work segments.
- Reviews and consolidates PEOAVN tasker inputs from multiple product offices.
- Reviews and consolidates SmartCharts (Program Reviews) input from multiple product offices.
- Receives reviews, disseminates, consolidates, and reports various materiel fielding related taskers from higher headquarters.
- Must have experience with utilization of Microsoft Office Suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.
- Must have demonstrated experience working in a team environment.
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
Required Skills and Qualifications: - 5-10 years of experience
- BA/BS with 5 years of logistics experience. An AA/AS may be substituted for the BA/BS when combined with a total of 10 years logistics experience
- Must have Acquisition Logistics, Logistics documentation and Acquisition documentation development, review, and staffing experience
- Experience with Acquisition Logistics Documentation and Logistics personnel standards, regulations, policies, procedures, processes, techniques, models, tools, and organization pertinent to Acquisition Logistics. Experience resolving Acquisition Logistics documentation management execution and management issues.
- Ability to manage complex development and Acquisition Logistics documentation projects, work effectively with others, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Conducting comprehensive management studies or projects
- Develop strong working relationships with subordinates, peers, and management personnel and ensure all team members always conduct themselves in a professional manner
- Ability to lift 20lbs may be needed
Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen. An active final Secret clearance is required (Interim clearances cannot be accepted). This is a full-time position located in Huntsville, AL. The position does require travel approximately 20% of the time. The salary range for this position is $156-190,000.
