Job Description:Immediate Need for a License Physical Therapist Assistant for our Acute Care Inpatient -Outpatient Department75 MILE STRAIGHT LINE RADIUS RULE (not driving distance) - NO LOCAL TRAVELERS -Please only submit candidates that area aware of their submission to our facility. Please do not allow candidates to contact facility. Please only submit candidates with an active NM or compact license. Please note time off requests must be disclosed with initial submission to be considered for approval. Time off requested after the acceptance date will not be approved.13 weeks assignment, 2 years experience in current specialty required. Must have Inpatient Experience. Must be a team player, flexible and accustomed to fast paced environment. Must have successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment. When submitting candidates include at least two references (one must be from current manager), a resume, and completed skills checklist/competency assessment.SHIFT: 8 hour DAYS - shift starts at 8:00 am. Shifts may fluctuate to fulfill department staffing needs. Weekend and holiday may be required. Travelers are first to float within facility and to alternate locations within 20 miles of permanent assigned location. Traveling pairs are not guaranteed same schedules or same shifts.Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, applies a variety of therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation of physical and developmental disorders *Treats patients regarding the application of a wide variety of therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation of physical function and developmental disorders. *Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span of patients served *Oversees and insures a comprehensive rehabilitation program designed to meet the physical, psychosocial, and immediate environmental well-being of the patient *Promotes patient/caregiver self-determination by optimizing outside resource utilization to achieve the highest level of independence. *Coordinates and communicates with various disciplines or services involved in patient care. *Coordinates efforts toward discharge goals established at initial evaluation and during episode of care. *Supports organizational and department business objectives by providing standardized, evidence-based care that contributes to achieving optimal outcomes and patient experiences.*Involves multidisciplinary team as well as patient/significant others to promote optimal and realistic outcomesWorks on behalf of the patients/significant others in representing their concerns and helping resolve ethical and clinical issues that impact the patients situation. * Uses holistic body, mind, spirit approach in provision of care by recognizing, appreciating, and incorporating cultural, spiritual, gender, race, ethnicity, lifestyle, socioeconomic, age, and values differences in practicePosition Urgency:NormalState License Details:Must Be Currently ActiveMinimum Years of Experience:2Minimum Guaranteed Hours:40Sub Specialty:Physical Therapy Assistant
