Job DescriptionOur client, a not-for-profit teaching hospital serving an ethnically diverse residential neighborhood of New York City, is hiring a Nocturnist.Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical care to patients during overnight shifts
- Conduct physical examinations and assessments of patients
- Diagnose and treat various medical conditions
- Develop and implement treatment plans
- Provide ongoing patient care and follow-up
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
- Manage acute medical emergencies and stabilize patients
- Document patient encounters accurately and thoroughly
Requirements
- MD or DO
- Board certified/eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Licensed to practice in the State of New York
- Post-residency experience in family or internal medicine
- Ability to manage complex patient cases and make sound medical decisions
- Proficiency in airway management, including intubation and ventilation
- Familiarity with triage protocols and ability to prioritize patient care
- The ability to work overnight shifts on a regular basis
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and possessing excellent communication skills
