A. Duie Pyle is seeking an experienced, full-time Non CDL Yard Jockey in East Brunswick, NJ. Our Yard Jockeys may be asked to maintain a flexible schedule, including but not limited to day and night shifts, weekends and or holiday work.Start Time: 10:00PM, Monday through FridayPay Rate: $23.65 per hour Base rate will increase to $28.35 after 12 months of employment ( plus $0.70 shift diff for start times between 10:00PM and 3:00am)The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Must have Jockey(Hostler) experience
- Moving trailers around the terminal to various locations
- Maneuvering the truck into loading and or unloading positions
- Visually inspecting trailers and or trucks before and after moving each
- Connecting tractors to trailers
- Assisting with the unloading and loading of freight as needed
- Maintaining documentation of each trailer moved throughout the assigned shift
To be qualified for this position, you must possess the following:
- Previous Jockey or Switcher experience required
- Ability to follow safety rules and regulations a must
- Must be able to obtain and maintain TSA security clearance
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to communicate effectively; must be able to read, write and speak English
- Must be able to obtain and maintain TSA security clearance
