Here, you will work with and learn from some of our best caregivers, receive endless support and appreciation, and build a rewarding career with one of the most respected healthcare organizations in the world.Responsibilities: Provide safe, efficient practices for decontamination, instrument assembly, wrapping and sterilization of all reprocessed instruments and distribution equipment.Provide case care management.Properly handle equipment, instruments and chemicals.Perform preventative maintenance.Observe personal protective equipment standards in the decontamination process.Scan, sort, inspect and assemble, wrap and label instruments by instrument list as documented in the procedure.Perform record keeping. Minimum Qualifications: A high school diploma or GED.If not already obtained, Sterile Processing Distribution certification (CRST) by IAHCSMM or CBSPD is required within 2 years following the completion of the new hire period. Preferred Qualifications: 1 year of healthcare experience or a similar background in mechanical/manufacturing assembly. Military experience as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Machinery Repairman (MR), Aircraft Maintenance Technician (2A3X3), Biomedical Equipment Specialist (68A), Small Arms Repairer (91F) or a similar role will be considered. Physical Requirements: Lifts and carries items weighing up to 25 pounds and ability to push, pull and navigate supply carts weighing more than 75 pounds.
