As one of the fastest-growing warehousing and logistics companies in North America, we're looking for an experienced NON-CONFORMING MATERIALS (NCM) MANAGER. As NCM Manager, you will be the management representative for the Non-Conforming Materials department and will play a key role in the success of the organization by ensuring standard processes are followed and scrap material costs are reduced throughout the plant. The Manager will lead a team of quality professionals, and demonstrate the following: POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Owns and manages the NCM identification and accounting process from end to end
  • Ensures that NCM material is identified, dispositioned and accounted for per the standardized process, financial and customer requirements
  • Works closely with the site Quality Manager and Materials Manager to ensure accuracy and continuity of the defective materials accounting process
  • Builds rapport with internal and external customers
  • Assesses, calculates, documents, compiles data for reporting and presentation to senior leadership daily/weekly/monthly
  • Review, develop and implement NCM standard work instructions
  • Plans, assigns, and directs work of supervisors and team leaders to achieve the objectives
  • Rewards and disciplines employees address complaints and resolves problems.
  • Involved in Multi-disciplinary Problem Solving Teams that directly drives the organization's Continuous Improvement Process and Policies.
  • Ensure compliance to Environmental and Safety Procedures and Policies
  • Cost effectively manage labor under their direction
  • Other duties as required.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • 5+ years management experience within a manufacturing assembly environment with a proficiency in third party services including sequencing, kitting, repack, deconsolidation, and bulk and small lot metering.
  • Knowledge of Integrated Supply Chain Model (i.e., Part Sequencing, Sub Assembly, Cross Docking, logistics, warehousing, and material handling).
  • Experience developing/implementing cross-functional teams/metrics.
  • Lean material management principles focused on reducing waste and standardizing processes.
  • Understand the lean principles of material pull systems to support customer requirements.
  • Exceptional customer interfacing skills.
  • Experience with material management features or modules in SAP would be an advantage.
