- Teach assigned sections in EMS courses.
- Prepares instructional materials as necessary.
- Instructs, manages, and supervises individuals and groups in classrooms and EMS learning labs using appropriate teaching methods.
- Evaluate instruction and learning utilizing appropriate testing methods.
- Maintains a student-oriented approach to education.
- Maintains and submits accurate and current reports and records involving student accountability, attendance, performance, and follow-up.
Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications
- Utah licensure in one of the following EMS provider levels: EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic with a current Utah BEMS EMS Instructor endorsement, and AHA BLS Instructor Certification, or
- Licensure with a specific healthcare specialty (Registered Nurse, Respiratory Therapist, P.A., N.P., MD/DO, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
- AHA ACLS/PALS Instructor (required for AEMT and Paramedic Programs).
- Three years of prehospital experience with a 911 system.
- Two years of teaching experience.
- NAEMT Instructor certification (for Paramedic program).
