*Job Summary*We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team! Looking for someone to float between 3-5 practices in the Defiance area. We can accommodate your schedule needs - FT, PT, PRN? This is a very flexible position.Home office:Whittaker Family Dental100 Stadium DrDefiance, OH 43512The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while adhering to the highest standards of hygiene and safety. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dental team to deliver exceptional patient care, educate patients on oral health, and assist in various dental procedures.*Responsibilities** Conduct thorough patient assessments, including taking vital signs and reviewing medical history.* Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing of teeth to maintain optimal oral health.* Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.* Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures as needed, ensuring a smooth workflow.* Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix software, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.* Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and incorporate them into patient care.* Provide care for pediatric patients with a focus on creating a comfortable environment for children.* Collaborate with the dental team to develop treatment plans that address individual patient needs.* Uphold cleanliness and organization in the treatment area to ensure a safe environment for patients.*Requirements** Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist.* Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and general dentistry practices.* Experience with Dentrix or similar dental software is preferred.* Ability to perform patient assessments effectively and communicate findings clearly.* Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.* Excellent interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach towards patient care.* Previous experience in pediatrics is a plus but not mandatory.* Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.Join our team and contribute to enhancing the oral health of our community while growing your career in a supportive environment!#NADG1Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, TemporaryPay: $42.00 - $45.00 per hourLicense/Certification:* Registered Dental Hygienist (Required)Ability to Relocate:* Defiance, OH 43512: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
