As the HR Director for North America, you will lead the regional HR strategy, ensuring alignment with global priorities while driving initiatives that foster a high-performance culture. This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing all HR functions across the region, from talent acquisition and leadership development to employee engagement and compliance. You will be a trusted partner to the business, enabling our leaders and teams to achieve organizational success through innovative and impactful HR practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the North America HR strategy, aligning with global priorities to drive organizational goals. Act as a trusted advisor to the leadership team on all HR-related matters.
- Talent Management: Lead end-to-end talent processes, including workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, and career development programs to attract, retain, and grow top talent.
- Employee Engagement: Champion a culture of engagement by designing and implementing initiatives that enhance employee experience, foster inclusion, and align with company values.
- Leadership Development: Design and deliver leadership development programs that empower managers to lead with impact, accountability, and integrity.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws, as well as internal policies. Proactively manage HR risks and maintain ethical standards across the organization.
- HR Operations: Oversee compensation, benefits, performance management, and employee relations to ensure efficient and effective operations across the region.
- Change Management: Drive organizational transformation and change initiatives, supporting teams to adapt and thrive in a dynamic business environment.
Your Profile
- Experience: at least 10–15 years of progressive HR leadership experience, with proven expertise in managing HR functions at a regional or global level. Experience in the USA is necessary, and in Canada is relevant plus.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. An advanced degree or HR certification (e.g., SPHR, SHRM-SCP) is highly desirable.
- Industry experience: proven experience in manufacturing, engineering, construction or mining industry is strongly preferred.
