Read further to learn how you could help make great things possible not only in your community, but around the world.HDR is looking for a North Carolina Wastewater Business Class Lead to join our Water Business Group team in Charlotte, Raleigh, Wilmington, or Winston-Salem, NC. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical interest in wastewater treatment through planning, design, and construction phases. They will lead engineers and technical staff in other disciplines and sections, complete technical analysis, write reports and technical memos, coordinate with sub-consultants, maintain project schedules and budgets, and produce documents in accordance with project scopes and quality program procedures. They will also team with our North Carolina Wastewater Market Sector Leader to grow the HDR wastewater practice. On a day-to-day basis, they may also be expected to:
  • Lead wastewater business class strategic plan initiatives
  • Lead wastewater communications
  • Be responsible for wastewater technical development
  • Organize business class participation in practice groups
  • Conduct project and quality control reviews
  • Have contact with clients regarding ongoing projects and tasks; this position will require occasional field visits for construction observation
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field
  • North Carolina PE or ability to obtain in six months preferred
  • 8 years of wastewater treatment project experience
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Local candidates are preferred

QualificationsRequired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field
  • 10 years of experience
  • Committed to quality, improvement and HDR values
  • Maintains a professional or engineering registration and has related technical experience experienced in development and management of diverse teams
  • Works cooperatively with other area business class leaders, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers on business class efforts
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
