REPORTS TO: COO/Sales Manager

DEPARTMENT: Sales

EXEMPTION STATUS: Full-time, Exempt

LOCATION: In person, NYC Office. 9am-6pm Monday-Friday + 1 Saturday/month for Clinic

SCOPE OF POSITION

The Mid-Level Provider, Sales-Focused (MLP-SF) serves as a pivotal member of our cosmetic dermatology practice, combining clinical expertise with a strong focus on driving sales and enhancing the patient experience. With a primary emphasis on delivering exceptional aesthetic treatments and skincare solutions, the MLP-SF utilizes their knowledge and skills to meet patient needs while achieving sales targets and revenue goals. They are responsible for ensuring patient satisfaction, responsiveness, and engagement while maximizing sales opportunities and revenue generation. Key Sales Responsibilities:

  • Perform aesthetic procedures such as injectables and laser treatments with precision and expertise, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Conduct thorough consultations with clients to understand their skincare concerns, goals, and preferences, while effectively highlighting the benefits of recommended treatments.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique needs and desired outcomes, utilizing a sales-focused approach to drive product and service recommendations.
  • Actively participate in sales and marketing initiatives, leveraging interpersonal skills and product knowledge to upsell and cross-sell relevant services and skincare products.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed electronic medical records (EMR), charting up to medical board standards, documenting treatment plans, procedures performed, and product recommendations for each client.
  • Cultivate and nurture strong relationships with clients, fostering loyalty and repeat business through exceptional customer service and personalized attention.
  • Ensure responsiveness to patient inquiries and communications, replying to all emails, calls, and texts before the end of the day.
  • Arrive at the clinic at least 30 minutes before the first client appointment, fully prepared to provide an exceptional patient experience.
  • Take ownership of the skincare experience, ensuring patients have all necessary medication and skincare products at least three days prior to their appointment, two weeks if undergoing a chemical peel.
  • Proactively utilize Salesforce and platforms to meet re-engagement targets.
  • Maintain an accurate daily list of patients and their engagement status.
  • Strategically drive high conversion rates of leads to booked appointments.
  • Meet minimum monthly sales targets with consistent performance monitoring.
  • Actively drive revenue through meeting social media KPI s generating leads, doing live Q & A s, participating in and creating social videos, skincare and procedure education to drive business.

Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Review daily schedule and patient appointments before the first patient and intermittently throughout the workday to ensure efficient clinic flow and preparation.
  • Document all patient care and response to treatment in the electronic medical record, including informed consent, product/medication information, prescriptions, and plans of care.
  • Assess the appropriateness of patient-requested treatments, recommending procedures based on cosmetic goals while considering contraindications and patient health information.
  • Educate patients and obtain informed consent for procedures.
  • Administer pre-procedural numbing, anesthetic, and medications as needed.
  • Manage patient prescriptions, utilizing standing orders or ordering prescriptions as appropriate.
  • Schedule patient appointments and prepare products/supplies for visits, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the clinic.
  • Perform procedures and treatments within scope of competence and approval by Dr. Jason Emer ensuring he is always assisted.
  • Clean exam rooms and return supplies to storage after procedures.
  • Receive clinic support with a Medical Assistant assigned when reaching a high productivity level.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Return phone calls promptly and courteously, with provider guidance as needed.
  • Attend physician and office staff meetings as necessary.
  • Comply with all aspects of patient rights and Privacy Rule.
  • Ensure following all HIPAA standards.
  • Proactively invest in product knowledge and continued learning/development to enable success.
  • Create and update medical records in the EMR as required and in compliance with medical board standards on the same day as client visit or surgery.
  • Maintain professionalism with all patients and employees in an impactful way to positively uphold Dr. Emer s reputation and presence.
  • Be coachable, value feedback and own personal development.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Certified mid-level provider (Registered Nurse, Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) with relevant licensure and credentials.
  • Proven experience in administering injectables, performing laser procedures, and delivering aesthetic treatments in a clinical setting.
  • Strong sales acumen and results-driven mindset, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and objectives.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems for documentation and record-keeping purposes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients while effectively conveying the value proposition of recommended treatments and products.
  • Adaptability to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment, with a willingness to take initiative and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional patient experiences and achieving both clinical and sales goals.

Requirements:

  • NP or PA credentials
  • Bachelor's Degree - preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and sales performance tracking tools.

  • Team collaboration and strong sense of professionalism in the workplace.

  • Previous experience in a medical or aesthetic practice is advantageous.
