Job Description:

A client is looking for a Nuclear Materials Accountability officer who will be responsible for the development and implementation of until at least 2030 on the SLDA project in support of the Army Corps of Engineers in Vandergriff, PA for a 12-month contract to possible extension / possible hire. This person will be responsible for development and implementation of the CONTRACTOR'S MC&A Program and implementing procedures. While the NMAO's implementation responsibilities are limited to inventory management, including all MC&A elements related to inventory management, loss detection and reporting, it is incumbent on the NMAO to develop the data acquisition aspects of the MC&A Program sufficient to fully address the requirements of the Program. This person will be coming in during the pre- remediation phase of the lab and will also be responsible for helping to get the new lab fully functional with all appropriate equipment, inventory, help flush accounting systems, etc. to be able to begin remediation in June of 2025. o 5+ years' experience working as a Nuclear Materials Accountability Office for Nuclear Material o specialized training to include, but not limited to: o SNM accounting to address 10 CFR Part 74 or equivalent DOE requirements. ii. non-destructive and destructive assay methods for data acquisition. iii. mass U-235 enrichment determination; andiv. MC&A reporting including electronic reporting using SAMS; o working knowledge of applicable federal regulations, guidance documents and industry standards related to MC&A. o 2+ years' experience working in a managerial role
