Job Description:
In this critical role, the candidate is responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining the American Centrifuge Plant (ACP) Nuclear Material Control & Accountability (NMC&A) program elements.This position requires integrated coordination and communication with all levels of staff and management. - Day to day management of the NMC&A to ensure regulatory requirements and standards are met- Maintain programmatic responsibility for NMC&A, including development and approval of NMC&A policies and procedures that implement NMC&A requirements- Establish and maintain an Item Control program to track nuclear materials in the ACP-Ensure that an effective Measurement Control Program is implemented. Appoints the Measurement Control Coordinator- Responsible to ensure that systems are implemented to maintain current knowledge of the identity, location, and quantity of source material transactions and inventories- Ensure transactions involving shipping and receiving of source materials and Special Nuclear Material are properly entered into accounting records and reported- Ensure reporting of nuclear material accountability data to the national Nuclear Materials Management and Safeguards System (NMMSS)- Ensure that indicators of missing uranium and/or unauthorized production/enrichment are investigated, resolved, and reported as needed- Ensure that Material Balance Area (MBA) boundaries are defined consistent with those described in the Fundamental Nuclear Material Control Plan and approves the appointment of MBA Representatives- Ensure nuclear material physical inventories are performed as required and provides written physical inventory instructions to line organization personnel prior to the inventory-Appoint an NMC&A database administrator- Prepare and provide reports to ACP financial organizations, documenting the status of nuclear material inventories, shipments, and receiptsBase salary, plus a 10-15% performance bonus and tier one benefits package.
